This book could just as well be titled "zero and infinity".
Zero and Infinity are closely related concepts the author explores in the book. It's a fascinating tour through history as Seife shows us how these concepts have evolved, sometimes in totally revolutionary ways. The book is filled with interesting anecdotes and examples on how these mathematical concepts puzzled and still challenge scientists and mathematicians to this day. Seife also ventures into the realm of physics where the tale of zero and infinity is also fascinating. I've read quite a few books about mathematics but none as entertaining as "Zero". As some other reviewer wrote: "Seife made a lot out of nothing".
